Golden Globe Presenters

For all you movie and television fans out there The Golden Globes will be telecast live on NBC January 11th at 8/7c. Although you can't find out the winners just yet, here are some celebs you'll be sure to see, they will be presenting awards.
The presenters have been named and will include Jennifer Lopez, comedian and new mommy, Amy Poehler, funny guy Seth Rogen, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Gossip Girl Blake Lively. Even if the award ceremony gets a little boring, at least tune in to see the amazing celebrity styles on the red carpet!
"The City"

Whitney Port's new "Hill" spinoff show, "The City" premiered last Monday night on MTV.
In case you missed it, here is a list of the major characters who are welcoming Whitney to her new home, New York City:
Olivia: Olivia is a socialite and native of the Upper East Side. Olivia works with Whitney at Diane Von Furstenberg in public relations, and often hosts her own exclusive parties. While she seems to be somewhat of a snob, she is trying her best to make Whitney feel at home in New York so far.
Erin: Erin and Whitney have known each other since they were younger, and Erin is the only one Whitney knows she can really trust so far. She lives downtown and loves to party!
Jay: Jay is Whitney's current love interest. He is an Australian rocker who may not be the best guy for her, as there are already rumors of him cheating on her! We'll have to stay tuned to see if this love will last.
Adam: Adam is Jay's model roommate. He has a girlfriend, Allie, but does not seem to always be faithful to her. He will definitely be causing his own drama this season!
Concerts Thriving

As you have probably heard, most businesses are not doing well these days. However, the concert industry continues to thrive!
Concerts brought in almost $4 billion last year, and the industry is up 13%. This is partly due to some big concerts in 2008 such as Madonna, Bon Jovi, Kanye West and rocker Bruce Springsteen. With more great concerts coming in 2009, the industry is sure to continue doing well!

MTV's New Reality Shows

Calling all reality show fans, the genre is alive and well! As MTV's ratings have begun to drop, the network has decided to launch 16 new reality shows over the next 4 1/2 months.
These shows will include "College Life," where college freshmen are given camcorders in which they film their freshman year away from home and "Girls of Hedsor Hall," which follows young troublesome girls who are forced to go to finishing school in England! Hopefully, some of these new shows will bring MTV back to the top of the charts!
